Eyesight

Its the start of it all,

that what sets the standard.

I grit my teeth and chew my gums,

anticipation for the next part,

writing in half light,

staring out into the coming night.

These languid immovable mockings

hold the secrets to the soul.

the meanings hold to them,

they can be read with the same intent as they were written.

I rub sleep from my eyes,

suffocating filth we hold at bay,

taking each breath more subtle,

this misperception I must maraud,

It holds me whispering a soothing tone,

something that sweeps through my bones.

It's a perfectness in annoyance,

the real route of all malevolence,

that shaking seething raging bull,

the madman thats inside of me.

You sit here and it eats you up,

it becomes a neccesary evil

a dark place you feel and keep

thats not really quite a part of you.

It pulls and begs for release,

I've held on for so long,

I weaken with evils dawning sun,

it's like being wrapped in negativity,

an overwhelming sensitivity,

an inability to tolerate any living thing.

All things mindless and dead

the mere sight of makes me want to drown.

I think there is no explainable reason why I hold on

why I'm here,

why I don't do myself in.

Looking logically there is no solid stone,

no reason for there to be this unknown,

I am the last,

all of the others have givin into something else,

one of the many shelters,

they have welcomed themselves into.

They think they still know but they truly don't.

It calls from everywhere,

the numbing voice that is the air,

it never stops,

I think they would have popped by now,

eardrums exploded into nothing,

lucky enough they have tuned it out,

I broke my switch and must endure

the eyesight of those who have no will.
