Such an eloquent pain, Simple states of fallen speech, Foreign diseases in my mind. Each remembered tear shaken back, Choked to die on my eyes, Like a fallen rain of joy to shade my sight. So much remembered sympathy, No general direction granted to it, But there nonetheless, Too few people to grant it upon, Too much time to do it in. My plastic wrapped heart, Burned to live again, Building up with deposit here, Cache there, Love. No memory for the days lived, No want for them for me, Remembrance lost to the sea, Bled out at night Tossed to the air, And out with the tide's pull and sun's flare. I'm just living my days as numbered, Filling my time as best I can, Filing away my lives, One for each person left behind. So much, oh so much love to give, So much innocence to find. I'm grieving for their losses in my mind, But that too has been around forever, On far off shores of memory, Left somewhere far behind. |
