Lament for Sadness

Is this the love that I missed for so long,

My past makes no exceptions for this peace,

Such feats of fleeting heritage make me uneasy

It always seemed like this before

But it never was in the end.

It's made me happy,

Euphoria with the same reality,

This turn around in the middle of life,

Has seemed to cleanse away all the former strife.

It hasn't fully though,

But its alright,

There would be no life otherwise,

I would not be the same,

Would not be the me I truly am inside.

It seems that consciousness has held me,

Suspended in a web of worry,

Fear and insolence.

I have been loss,

Held endeavor

Been reborn and cut off all at the same time.

I have been the me struggling to be free,

And I am now the me trying to remember,

What it meant to cry to sleep.
